The sights and sounds of Walking Street are quite unlike to be found in other cities. It is really not easy to match the 500 meters of fun which is found at the end of Pattaya’s Beach Road during evenings, when is closed to vehicle traffic. This area undergoes a daily chameleon-like transformation; from being a almost completely deserted during daylight hours, to coming alive with neon lights, thumping music from different beer bars, go go bars, night-clubs, food vendors, street performances and party-goers from each corner of the world.
Although we wouldn’t include Walking Street in any family outing, it is a favorite rendezvous among locals and tourists. Lately, due to the local Government ‘s efforts on enforcing laws limiting closing times laws , carrying out underage and alcohol sales controls at adult entertainment venues, as well as increasing security measures, this area has became more suitable for the youngsters and expat groups living in the city, to the extent of seeing more often, now than in the recent past, groups of female friends heading toward Walking Street.
As we said, this is only an introduction, it would be just impossible to try to describe and tell all about this city in one time because it will be endless and difficult to grasp. Just let it to settle down a little bit…Pattaya is a city that you must experience yourself. As we do. Every single day is a new experience, a new challenge , a new discovery. But we really hope that at least, we have been of a little help. If you have some comments, please, lets know. In this way, we will keep linking Pattaya together.
